Blind-At-Once Initialization Bug

From WarfishWiki

I've observed a bug in game initialization when the following conditions exist: 1) Neutral armies have been placed on some of the countries in a start scenario. 2) Blind-at-Once initialization is used for the game. 3) The "start with neutral territories" rule is off.

Under these conditions, positions initialized with neutral armies are shown to be selectable on the Blind-at-Once initialization map, though they are not actually selectable. The player can still select countries but does not have visual indication of which countries may be selected and which may not.

Here is a link to a game that has demonstrated this problem.

This is an interesting situation. It is caused because neutral territories are placed after the blind selection phase so they are not physically on the board yet at the point players are making their selections. It seems like moving the neutral territories placement to before this would work.. also even when random neutral territories are on it seems like it would make sense to have them placed prior to bao territory selection. --Steven 19:44, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
