Major vs Minor Board Changes

It'd be cool to have a flag when you make a change to one of your boards. If you claim it is a minor change, then everyone who bought the old board can use the new one. If you claim it is a major change, then people must re-buy it. I'd consider letting the game stay in "Open Game" mode if it was reached for minor changes, e.g. if you tweak the rules or the board in a minor way, you don't have to get 3 textual reviews before people can start open games.--Eric 06:44, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

It seems to me this feature already exists. If you want people to pay again, create a completely new game. If you want the new game attached to the old game, create it as a mod for that game. Am I missing something?

I agree with you RedBaron.. that is what the mods are for.. to indicate a Minor change that is given for free to current board owners. --Steven 17:24, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
You could try something like selling mods, but completing a completely new game is probably just as effective... Maybe if you had something like 'episodic content' where you add a new piece and charge 50 cents, but that goes into the whole micropayment problem. --FadeToOne 19:30, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
