Stalled tounaments with an inactive or elimated host

The title of this suggestion says it all. I'm stuck in more than one tournament in which the host in either not watching the message board for the tourney or is elminated. Can a feature be added to tournaments to prevent this feature? Three options come to mind:

1. In a tournament, a player is auto-booted after a set period (say a week) unless they set their profile to "on-vacation".

2. On the main page for the tourament, there is an option for everyone to vote to boot whoever is holding up a game longer than a week. If 50% of everyone in the tournament votes to boot, that player is booted.

3. Send reminder emails to players who are in inactive games that suggest booting the player holding up the game. If your game has stalled for a week, each player could be sent a reminder telling them to look at the game and decide if they should boot.(This idea is good for regular games too!!!)

Let me know what you think.

[edit] Discussion

I'm glad to see that others are wanting this as well. I've actually already created a suggestion for this at A.34 (Change Tournament Hosts --Step.On.Me 01:57, 5 May 2008 (UTC)), and your suggestions are very similar to Red Baron's discussion on my page. I think these suggestions go hand in hand and hope Steven can work something out. --Step.On.Me 00:50, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Any progress on this issue? I'm still stuck in a few tournaments that we can't get everyone to boot the guy holding up the game or get the guy to finally take his turn. Thanks!- Marauderxxvii 20:35, 5 February 2008
